These two pictures are the earliest ones I have of Artemisia, while she still lived at my parents.

We brought Arty home Sunday and first thing Monday morning I whisked her off the the Vet for her shots, she wound up spending Monday night at the vets so she could get spayed first thing Tuesday morning. She also had a ruptured ear drum.

Arty spent the first week living in the Master Bath, she pretty much just slept in this carrier and ate. Although she did come to get petted whenever I was in the bathroom.

Once she ventured out into the rest of the house she pretty much stayed UNDER the chair and a half in the Family Room. She only came out when I was in the room with her.

She eventually discovered toys and loved to PLAY. She had a stash of them under the chair.

Sitting in my lap while I was at the computer became a favorite activity.

The Christmas Tree amazed her.

And she loved the fleece blanket.

Tissue paper was great fun to play with.

And the Catnip Mat was a favourite.

Scylla was not very welcoming so Arty spent most of the first month alone. Although she would come out to play around 2AM. Scylla who was sleeping in our bed would wake up and rush into the family room to play with her. I could hear them playing chase and THoE but then Scylla would get close and realize it wasn't Charybdis. She would let out an awful scream hiss and growl and come rushing back to our bed where she sobbed herself back to sleep.

But Arty was determined to befriend her and determined to stay in this weird place where even dogs were let in the HOUSE.
